One case of congenital jejunal stenosis is reported. 20 months old, poor developed girl entered
to St. Mary´s Hospital because of intermitent bile Stained vomiting, abdominal distension,
abdominal pain and irritability.
Small bowel series revealed marked dilatation of proximal small bowel at the distal duodenal
level and collapsed distal small bowel below it.
On laparotomy under the diagnosus of partial intestinal obstruction due to probably Congenital
band, aberrant vessel or malrotaion, we found congenital stenosis with a septum with a small
lumen about 0.3㎝ in diameter ir the upper kekunum.
After plastic excision of the septum, the child was complicated by wound dehiscence and could
be discharged with good condition on the 18th postoperative day. Rebiew of literature was also
made on the subject.
